Giving Back

The Oxford City Stars play an active role in the Oxfordshire community, working to inspiring people to be the best they can be.

Our Community Ambassadors regularly visit local schools to inspire children to participate in sport, eat well and fulfil their potential. They are also on hand to welcome new supporters attending an ice hockey match at Oxford for the first time – to make people feel at home.

We have also partnered with local recycling and construction company the Sheehan Group to deliver recycling talks and workshops to school children. Our team of volunteers regularly attend community days and help spread the Stars’ message.

Former Stars players are prominent members of the Community team in partnering with schools, junior sports clubs, charities and the John Radcliffe Children’s Hospital. Collectively this maintains the link between the club’s past, present and future.
