Group saver deals for junior sports clubs
Oxford City Stars have launched a special group saver ticket deal - for junior sports clubs in the county.
As part of the Oxfordshire United partnership the Stars have created a ticket bundle to enable junior clubs to have team night outs together at the Oxpens this season.
2 for 1 tickets are now available for any junior team or U18 team of a competitive sports club based in Oxfordshire.
The ticket bundle is for junior players and one accompanying adult per child – the whole team have to purchase a bank of tickets at the same time to qualify for the deal.
Clubs have to pre-book – and it is limited to two junior clubs per home game – so don’t delay book today!
Visiting junior clubs will also be treated to a photography with the Stars’ team and have a PA announcement to the crowd.
Stars’ director, Greig Box Turnbull, said: “We have been looking at ways to grow our attendances and engage with the community and this is an initiative that could support both objectives.
“We hit on the idea when the manager of the Kidlington Colts U10’s contacted us and asked if he could bring his two teams to the ice hockey, for a team bonding night out, as a Christmas present.
“They are now booked up for the Bracknell Hornets game in January and we are looking forward to hosting them.
“It made us appreciate clubs and groups seek value for money and fun team nights out and so we decided to create the offer.
“The scheme also enables the Stars to really support the ethos of the Oxfordshire United programme in a meaningful way.
“It is a celebration of youth sport participation across Oxfordshire and we would love to meet and host clubs from various sports in the county across the rest of the season.”
