Oxford City Stars stalwart signs up for 16th Season
Oxford City Stars stalwart Andy Cox has re-joined once again for his 16th Season with the club, and is excited as to what this new season will bring.
Cox, 35, can play forward or defence providing the team with great options, and is also there to support the younger players in their development. Cox is no stranger to goals or penalties either, being the Stars record penalty minute holder.
Andy said “I seem to say this most years, but I’m really pleased to have signed with the Stars again. As my hometown club it’s always an easy decision for me to commit for another year. The squad is in excellent shape with the new guys that have been added to some of the more familiar faces, and with the new closer ties with the junior teams it’s a really good opportunity for me to try and share my hockey experience with some of the younger players. I can’t wait to get started”.
Head Coach Redmond added “Delighted to have Coxy back next season. An offensive style defenceman, he can also play forward. Having worked with Coxy at Slough I know he has great leadership skills too, he will be influential in helping the younger players develop at the club”.
