Ronai Returns!

9th July 2018    News,Signing

Oxford City Stars bolstered its squad today with the signing of netminder Milan Ronai.

The Hungarian hit sensational form last season as the Stars scooped the NIHL2 league and cup double.

Ronai, 22, earned some vital shut-outs during the campaign having joined the Stars from Bracknell Hornets last summer.

His performances between the pipes led to critics describing him to be one of the best netminders in NIHL2 last season.

Ronai said: “After last season’s successful campaign I am excited to come back to Oxford and helpfully help the team win more trophies. It’s a great club and I’m delighted to have re-signed.”

Head Coach Kenny Redmond said: “Milan was of the outstanding goal keepers in the league last season and had a few crucial shut outs for us. He has a great attitude and works hard on and off the ice. Milan is desperate to win more trophies and loves playing for Oxford.

“The strength and quality of our defence was the basis for us to play last season and securing Milan for another season along was key for us.”
