St Ebbe’s onto a Winner

19th October 2018    News

Back on 30th September, children, parents and teachers from St Ebbe’s Primary School in Oxford attended the Stars vs Swindon Wildcats game at Oxpens Road, as part of the club’s continuing programme of community engagement. They were treated to one of the games of the season so far as Oxford put their local rivals to the sword with a comprehensive 14-2 win. They were also lucky enough to witness the Lord Mayor of Oxford Colin Cook carrying out the ceremonial pre-game puck drop.

Rhian Woodward from St Ebbe’s said: “There is only positive feedback to be given, the children and families loved the experience and all had a brilliant time”.

James Clarke, Stars Club Ambassador, said: “I lose count of the amount of times I say this, but kids enjoying ice hockey at Oxpens Road means so much to me, it makes what I do for the club so worthwhile and motivates me to keep spreading the values of ice hockey into more schools to more children. I’m looking forward to working more with St Ebbe’s in future”.
