Stars snap up Jack Hayes to bolster defence

18th July 2019    News

Oxford City Stars have swooped to sign Jack Hayes from Bristol Pitbulls.

The 20-year-old defenceman who has previously played for the Bracknell Bees in the EPL has signed up for the 2019/20 season.

Jack said: “I’m looking forward to pulling on the Oxford Stars shirt for the 2019/20 season.

“Oxford has an amazing fan base and the restructure of the ENL1 league the season is something to look forward too.

“Having heard Simon’s plans for the club I am eager to get started.”

Head Coach Simon Anderson said: “Making our Defence younger and more mobile was something I felt we needed making the step up.

“Jack gives us both of those things. He is a kid with a huge amount of potential, who has a lot of experience at higher levels, having played over 50 games in the EPL.

“He is someone who will be comfortable at this level and someone who is in fantastic shape and can log a lot of minutes.

“All of these components will make Jack an important piece in our line-up.”
