Tom Davis signs for the Stars
Oxford City Stars have signed former London Raiders captain Tom Davis.
The experienced forward said he was signing for the Stars “to win trophies.”
Davis played 362 games for Raiders, scoring 88 goals and providing 156 assists.
He was released from the Romford, Essex based NIHL South Division 1 club at the end of last season after eight seasons – and Stars’ Head Coach Kenny Redmond was quick to snap him up.
Tom said: “After I got off the phone from Kenny I knew Oxford was a great move for me. I was really impressed in how the team did last season and it made me want to be apart of a club like Oxford.
“Oxford has got a great fanbase which is always great for a team. I’m coming to the club to win trophies and with the team Kenny is building and the success the club had last season I don’t see why can’t win it all.”
Head Coach Kenny Redmond said: “Tom is a big strong forward who will add some strength and goals to our forward line. He has a great team attitude and his enthusiasm and leadership showed greatly at Raiders where he was regularly captain or assistant captain.”
