Oxford City Stars are thrilled to announce their Captain and Assistant’s for the current season.
Chris Cooke - Captain
Jake Williams - Interim Captain
Casey Wilson - Assistant
Will Harrison - Assistant
Coach Saunders had this to say :
With the season now a few games in and this being a group of players who for the most part are new to each other, the emergence of these three players into leadership roles has been incredible to watch.
Chris Cooke will retain the captaincy on his return from injury, but with that being a few weeks away yet, Jake Williams has stepped up to lead the group with his infectious energy and consistent on ice performances each night, leading by example in what’s been a tough few weeks.
Casey and Will have been steady throughout the past few games also, calming when needed yet energising when the time is right. Casey has been outstanding so far and the group look to him in high pressure moments. With Will being a very confident, competent character in the room and on the ice, we have a great mix in our leadership group and when Cookie gets back, I have no doubt these four players will guide us through each and every challenge we face.
